Dahon is one of the largest folding bike companies in the world. They manufacture high-quality folding bikes with their flagship being the Dahon Mariner D8.
Obviously with the world kinda crazy the last few years people took to the outdoors as a “stay safe” activity. Biking interest climbed and bicycle manufacturers had supply chain difficulty meeting this new demand.
Folding bikes also invested heavily in marketing which created increased interest. But to cater to the entry-level market buyers they were drawing, companies such as Dahon had to design a new folding bike with a less expensive price tag.
The result was the Dahon HIT D6. An economical folding bike that used their Deltec cable ingenuity which supports an increased rider weight limit.
The Dahon HIT D6 sold so well that Dahon decided to keep this 20-inch folder in their lineup with a starting price point of $599. Of course, this is not as low as ZiZZO folding bikes, but then again you are getting the quality and support of a Dahon.
