It didn’t take long for Lectric eBikes to continue with major product announcements for 2022. This year has been busy for Lectric. Launching an upgraded XP to an XP 2.0, a belt drive lightweight XP LITE, a mid-drive XPremium, and now another upgrade to the original best-selling flagship folding e-bike. This “new and improved” is called Lectric eBikes 3.0 and is available in both regular and step-thru models.
We would be really “jazzed” to be invited to a Lectric eBikes product launch and “rip around” on an unlocked folding e-bike. What do you say, Levi?
What probably blew us away the most were the sales figures Levi was throwing out in his presentation. Lectric eBikes has sold more e-bikes than all car manufacturers combined (not including Tesla of course). At 170,000 units sold that is extremely impressive! Double clap!
The mission statement of Lectric eBikes also seems to have evolved from creating a low-priced folding e-bike to becoming the Greatest Urban Transportation Solution Ever (GUTSE). According to Levi the “E” is silent.
When you change your mindset to becoming a “transportation solution” you view your upgrades accordingly and this is what Lectric eBikes has done with the Lectric XP 3.0.

Lectric XP 3.0: Conclusion
Lectric eBikes appears to be in pursuit of Rad Power Bikes as they begin envisioning their folding e-bikes also as something used beyond the weekend warrior trail rider.
Lectric eBikes has built a loyal base of riding fans by providing a quality, low-priced folding e-bike coupled with great customer service. Poor customer service has plagued numerous e-bike buyers of other brands.
We are not certain how many sub-150 lb e-bike passengers are out there that are willing to ride lower than the rider (while holding a tiny, seat post attached handlebar), but as with all things Lectric, they will listen to the market and adjust over time. This may just be the case with this passenger seat.
As for Lectric’s full line of attachments from small food delivery packages to pet trailers, a buyer can find every add-on to bring utility to the XP 3.0.
Lectric XP 3.0, while one of the heavier folding e-bikes, will continue to dominate the e-bike market with all these upgrades, this price point, and a redesigned more powerful rear hub motor to handle a passenger, cargo, or 10 pizza boxes.
